Al-Anon Meetings -Al-Anon meetings are held each Wednesday, at the Kerman United Methodist Church (Madera Ave., north of Shields), at 7 p.m. Al-Anon is a support group for friends and family of alcoholics. For more information call 846-7905.

American Legion Post 355 meets every 1st Tuesday of the month at 6 pm. at the Senior Center.  Womens Auxiliary - hosts a Bingo Night on the first and third Friday of the month, at the Senior Citizen Center in at Kerman Garden Apartments, beginning at 6 p.m.  Funds raised will benefit US troops.  For more  information call 846-5728.

Booster Club - The Kerman High School Booster Club, which supports activities at the school—athletic, academic, social—meets on the first Monday of each month at 6:30 p.m. in the new library conference room. The executive board meeting is held at 6 p.m.

Citizens on Patrol - Citizens on Patrol meets the second Tuesday of each month at Chaffin Hall, 850 S. Madera Ave., in Kerman at 7 p.m.

Club UNITY - Understanding Needs In Today’s Youth (UNITY) holds its weekly meetings on Mondays at 6:30 p.m. at 939 S. Madera Ave. All Kerman residents are invited to attend.

Community Food Bank - Associated with the Salvation Army, food is available for emergency needs. The Food Bank is located at 14660 West “D” St., and applications can be made at the Kerman Senior Center, 720 S. 8th Street. The Food Bank is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 10-11 a.m., but in urgent need, food can be available at other times. Donations of dried and canned food are welcome.

Fresno County Cabrillo Civic Club — Monthly meeting the first Tuesday of every month at 7:00 p.m. at the CPDES Social Hall 172 W. Jefferson, Easton. This is a non-profit group of Portuguese People.

Kerman City Council - Meets on the first and third Wednesdays of the Month, at 6:30 p.m. in the Kerman Community Center, Madera at Kearney. Mayor Trinidad M. Rodriguez, Mayor Pro Tem Kenneth L Moore, Councilmembers Jack Sidhu, Raj Dhaliwal, Richard Stockwell.

Kerman Community Services Organization - This organization is for all Service Clubs, Organizations and Community volunteers who would like to provide service to the Community. It serves as a clearing house for information of activities and ministries. Kerman Cultural Arts Council - The council promotes the arts in the community. It collects, preserves and promotes the agricultural and historical heritage of the area. Kerman High Band Backers - The Kerman High School Band Backers meet on the first Thursday of the month, in the band room at Kerman High campus at 7 p.m.

Kerman Kiwanis Club - Meets each Thursday at noon, in the Round Table Pizza restaurant, on the northwest corner of Whitesbridge and Madera.

Kerman Library - Mondays & Tuesdays 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; Wednesdays & Thursdays 12 noon to 5 p.m.; Fridays & Saturdays 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Kerman Quarterback Club - Meets every Wednesday at 7 p.m., at Round Table Pizza. The group reviews game films and supports the football program.

Kerman Rotary Club - Meets each Friday, at noon, in the Kerman Community Center, 15101 W. Kearney Blvd.

Kerman Soroptimist Club meets 2nd & 4th Tuesdays at Kerman Round Table at noon.

Kerman Transit Dial A Ride - The Kerman Dial A Ride van is available for anyone in the Kerman community needing a ride Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m. The van is equippd with a wheelchair lift. Prices range from a minimum of $.50 in town to $2 in the country depending on the distance. Call 846-7914 for information.

Kerman Unified School District Board of Trustees - Meets on the third Thursday of each month in the Kerman High library, 205 S. First St., at 6 p.m. Board President Brian Pacheco, Vice President Glen Foth, Members Jose Dominguez, Vicki Blair and Paul Betancourt.

Kerman Youth Football- Kerman Youth Football’s board meets monthly, on the first Thursday after the first Tuesday of the month. Meetings are held at Round Table Pizza in Kerman, at 7 p.m. All board members and parents are welcome to attend. Call John Chambers for any further information, 842-8774.

Meals for Seniors - The Kerman Senior Center offers lunch to people 60 years of age and older. Lunches are served Mon.-Fri. at 11 a.m. at the Center, 720 S. 8th St. Each meal provides at least 1/3 of the recommended daily nutritional needs. A $1.25 donation is accepted.
