KUSD Seeks Community Ideas for New Superintendent
The Kerman Unified School District board of trustees is reaching out to the community for ideas about what to look for in selecting a new superintendent. The new head of the district will replace Roger Halberg, who was superintendent since 2003. He left in May to be superintendent of Dixon, California. Kerman Unified has selected Dr. Wendell Chun, of the California School Boards Association Executive Search Services, as an advisor in recruiting a new superintendent. He will visit the district July 14-15, to meet with community members, parents and district staff. The meetings will be held in the district office at 151 S. First St., by appointment only. To schedule an appointment call Bonita Jackson at 559-842-2001.
