KMS Team Cinches Westside Championship

The Kerman Middle School Lady Lions softball team defeated Bryant of Dos Palos 11-0 last week to win the West Side League Championship. Jordan Yates and Lauren Nance pitched a great defensive game totaling 13 strikeouts. At bat, Mandy Georgeson went 4 for 4 and smashed 2 home runs. Nimmy Grewal also launched a home run and added 2 hits. Kassie Sierras ripped a triple and Jalisa Jordan drilled a double. Corina Aguilar, Samantha Rubio, Lauren Nance and Jordan Yates added hits while Desiree Ramirez dropped another perfect bunt to score runs.

The team played hard, worked together, and displayed excellent sportsmanship all season. The Lions ended up 10-1 in league play and scored a total of 118 runs in their 11 games and only gave up 13 runs to the opposing teams. The team would like to thank their scorekeeper Leslie Robles, their parents, their coaches, and fans for supporting their season.
