EDMUNDO F. GOMEZ

Edmundo Francisco Gomez, 21, of Mendota, died on Dec. 29, 2006. He was a forklift driver.  Graveside services were scheduled for Wednesday, Jan. 10, at 11 a.m. in Mt. View Cemetery in Fresno.  Visitation was set for Jan. 9, 5 to 7 pm at Kerman Palm Memorial Chapel.

JUAN S. C. AGUILAR

Juan Sebastien Centeno Agular, 20, of Kerman, died on Dec. 25, 2006. He was a farm laborer. Services were scheduled for Jan. 3, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, beginning at 10 a.m.

JOE R. CASTRO

Joe R. Castro, 40, of Firebaugh, died on Dec. 28, 2006. He was a Post Office mail carrier. Ceremonies were scheduled for Jan. 3, beginning at 9:30 a.m., in St. Joseph Church in Firebaugh. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery in Fresno. Remembrances may be sent to the church, to the Cancer Center or to Hinds Hospice.

MARCOS LOPEZ

Marcos Lopez, 45, of Mendota, died on Dec. 23, 2006. He was a farm laborer. Services were to be held in El Salvador.

DOMINGA AGUILAR

Dominga Aguilar, 61, of Kerman, died on Dec. 22, 2006. She was a retired Kerman Unified employee.  A rosary was scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 28, at 7 p.m. with Mass at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

ROBERT MATTHEWS

Robert "Robbie" Matthews, 52, of Kerman, died on Dec. 13, 2006.  Graveside services were Friday, Dec. 15, at 3pm in Fresno Memorial Gardens.

PEARL JONES-LEES

Pearl Jones-Lees, 54, of Kerman, died on Nov. 30, 2006. She was a licensed vocational nurse.  Arrangements were by the Cremation Society of Central California.  Vistation was at the North Fresno Church.

EVELYN FLORES

Evelyn Flores, 60, of Kerman, died on Nov. 19, 2006. She was a homemaker.  Mass was scheduled for Wed., Nov. 22, at 2 p.m. in St. Patrick's Catholic Church. 

JOHN R. CHAMBERS

John R. Chambers, Col. (ret), 53, of Firebaugh, died on Oct. 30, 2006.  The rosary was scheduled for 6 p.m. at Whitehurst Chapel in Dos Palos, with Mass Nov. 3 at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church in Dos Palos. Private burial with honors followed.  Bequests may be sent to Catholic Charities, 149 N. Fulton St., Fresno, CA. 

WOODROW SPENCER

Woodrow "Woody" Spencer, 69, of Kerman, died on Oct. 27, 2006.  He was an auto mechanic for 50 years. Graveside services were scheduled for Friday, Nov. 3, at 10 a.m. in Fresno Memorial Gardents. Visitation Thursday, Nov. 2, from 4-7 p.m. at the Palm Memorial Kerman Chapel. 

FELIX NOMBRANO

Felix Nombrano, 54, of Madera, died on Oct. 22, 2006.  He was an insurance agent for Farmers Ins. for seven years.  Services were scheduled for Thursday, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m. at St. Joachim Catholic Church in Madera, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery.  Remembrances may be sent to Hinds Hospice, 1616 W. Shaw Ave., Ste. C-1, Fresno, CA 93711 or to the American Cancer Society, 2222 W. Shaw Ave., No. 201, Fresno, CA

EDUARDO O. TOVAR

Eduardo Ortiz Tovar, 80, of Biola, died on Oct. 16, 2006. He had been a farm laborer for 60 years.  Services were scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 21, at 10 a.m. at Palm Memorial Kerman Chapel.

MARY A. WINTERS

Mary Alice Winters, 75, of Kerman, died on Oct. 14, 2006. She was a homemaker.  Services were scheduled for Friday, Oct. 20, at 2 p.m. at Golden Sunset Memorial Park. 

HERMAN MERCER

Herman "13" Mercer, 79, of Kerman, died on Oct. 6, 2006. He was a printer for 20 years. Memorial services are scheduled for Friday, Oct. 13, at 3 p.m. at Palm Memorial Kerman Chapel.
