Think Pink at Coldwater Creek
Come out on October 21st anytime between 7 p.m. to 9 p.m to the Coldwater Creek store in Fig Garden Village to support the local Race on October 28th! Coldwater Creek is hosting a fundraising event open to the public on Saturday evening, featuring a wardrobe party, free drawing, and catered food, Coldwater Creek will also offer shoppers a 10% discount during the event and donate 10% of the event’s sales to the Komen Central Valley Affiliate. The highlight of Coldwater Creek’s event will be a special guest appearance by a breast cancer survivor who will share her story.

Live Better Women’s Festival
Come out for a day of over 24 classes on women’s heath and wellness, creative home arts demonstrations, 30 exhibitors, early morning walk and tai chi rejuvenation, and to meet Cindy Suryan of MedWatch! Plus music, food, and much more.
There will be breast caner awareness month activities in conjunction with the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and the American Cancer Society including a special survivor’s ceremony at noon.

October 28th
October 28th Komen Fresno Race for the Cure
The Komen Fresno Race for the Cure® is held in October. Currently it is the largest foot-race fundraiser in Fresno. The Race includes a 5K Men’s Race, a 5K Women’s Race, a 5K Coed Walk, a 1-Mile Fun Walk, and a 1/2 mile Kids for the Cure™ race. More than a race, it is a family event with booths, food, door prizes, education, entertainment, and special recognition of breast cancer survivors.

Shop and support Komen at Von’s!
When shopping at Von’s, you will have opportunity to donate $1.00 at the checkout. Proceeds from this will benefit the Central Valley Affiliate. This spring Von’s presented the affiliate with a check for just over $35,000. This came in large part to the efforts each store makes in October to raise awareness of breast cancer. Von’s will also have pink ribbon items available for purchase. Check out the national sponsors’ products to see what’s available: Yoplait, Quilted Northern, Kellogg’s, specially marked packages of SunChips, M&M’s special edition pink candies, etc.
